Razor bumps and ingrown hairs, because tightly curled hair cut at the surface can curl back and re-enter the skin. And the shadow — dark hair sitting just below the surface still shows through the skin, which is why the face can look grey a few hours after a clean shave no matter how close you got.

What stops the daily routine

Nd:YAG, which is the wavelength that goes past melanin rather than into it. It is the right laser for Fitzpatrick V and VI skin, it hurts substantially less than the machines most clinics run, and it works faster. Hairs that are white, grey or very fine have no pigment for a laser to find and need electrolysis instead. I will tell you which of yours are which before you spend anything.
