For more than 40 years, I have worked directly with dark and Black skin. For two days, you learn beside me at my Bay Harbor Islands clinic, with teaching built around your specific needs.

Knowing how to perform a treatment is only part of the work. You also need to understand whether it belongs on the skin in front of you.

Depending on your learning needs, we may concentrate on:

How I examine dark and Black skin, and decide what a client needs and what they do not.
Treatment choices that can worsen discoloration instead of improving it.
Waxing, plucking, threading, ingrown hairs, and the dark marks clients come to you to resolve.
Hormonal facial hair: what you need to understand when hair keeps returning.
How I approach mandelic treatments, laser, and electrolysis, and what influences my decisions.
The questions to ask before choosing a treatment, machine, or settings.
How to explain your recommendations clearly so clients understand the treatment plan.

The focus is your understanding: what to recognize, what to question, what to avoid, and when to stop.

Before your visit, I review your experience and goals to establish the focus of your private instruction.

Two professionals each month. Personally selected.

I reserve only four days each month for this mentorship: two professionals, two days each, taught individually.

This is for estheticians, nurses, laser technicians, clinic owners, physicians, and other professionals who work with dark and Black skin, or want to develop their understanding of it.

Applicants are welcome from the United States, the Middle East, South America, and worldwide. All teaching takes place in person in Bay Harbor Islands, Florida.

I personally review each application and select applicants based on their individual learning needs, goals, and whether I can meaningfully help them through two days of private teaching.

Selected applicants receive an invitation to arrange their dates. When available places are filled, suitable applicants may be offered a place on the waiting list.
