Electrolysis for Dark Skin and for White or Gray Hairs
Yes. Electrolysis is the only method that removes white, gray and very light hairs, because it does not depend on hair color. On Black skin it must be done with the correct insulated needle by someone trained in melanin-rich skin.
Why laser cannot treat white hair
Laser sees color, not hair. White or gray hair has none, so electrolysis is used for it.
Electrolysis on dark skin
The needle choice and technique matter. I use a fully insulated needle with only the tip exposed, which protects dark skin from burns.
Questions women ask
Does electrolysis hurt?
Yes, it is uncomfortable. Numbing cream applied before the visit helps.
How long does it take?
It is slow compared with laser, so it is best for the last fine hairs after laser has done the bulk of the work.
