TXA Lightening Brightening Serum
Written by Eva Taub
For stubborn or recurring discoloration, especially melasma, that hasn’t fully responded to gentler treatment alone.
If you’ve been consistent with the Mini Eva Skin Lightening Kit and some marks have faded while others haven’t, this is often the reason: not every kind of discoloration responds the same way. Melasma in particular is complex — it can be influenced by hormones, sun exposure, heat, genetics, inflammation, and other factors, often in combination, which is part of why it can be more stubborn than an ordinary dark mark.
For women with stubborn or recurring discoloration, especially melasma, I may recommend adding tranexamic acid (TXA) as part of a broader treatment plan. Topical TXA works through a different pigment-signaling pathway than exfoliating acids like mandelic acid, which makes it a useful complement rather than a substitute — I use it alongside the Mini Eva Kit and mandelic-acid protocol, not in place of them.
Like everything in my product line, TXA is never paired with hydroquinone or any bleaching agent. Like every treatment for stubborn discoloration, improvement takes time, consistency, and daily sun protection. There are no overnight solutions.
